Following the release of its acclaimed second project, folk-rock pioneer Burlap to Cashmere, a band that built a reputation for both exceptional studio projects and as an unyielding touring act in the late 90s, readies for the recording of its next project; a live record funded completely by fans via Kickstarter.
Band members Theodore (Teddy) Pagano, Steven Delopoulos and John Philippidis plan to record a 12- track live project that will include new versions of songs from its debut album, Anybody Out There
, plus songs from its July 2011 self-titled sophomore release. The band will also record two new studio tracks as a bonus to the live CD.
The band is currently engaging fans on Facebook in order to come up with its final set list.
We wanted to engage with the people who have supported us over the years. This record will reflect what they want to hear. It's our journey as musicians but it's also theirs, says Pagano. In the spirit of connecting with our fans, we wanted to offer several ways to interact with us and this new record. Those include simply helping support the recording for a copy of the final CD, all the way up to a signed guitars that Steven and Johnny play while we record.
This yet-untitled project is slated for a December release.
