I Trust You EP  (Independent)
by Anthony Faulkner

FOR FANS OF: Jonathan McReynolds, Tye Tribbett, Israel Houghton
Rating: 3 Stars

A peek into his 2015 LP, the golden-throated vocalist showcases inspirational R&B prowess in a trio of settings — the gospel-worship balladry of “I Trust You,” the smooth urban groove of “You Are the One” and the“Faith” remix, incorporating subtle tributes to the rhythms of Africa, a continent made personal through the philanthropy of The Faulkner Foundation. Overall, the socially conscious recording artist shows up-and-coming promise on this strong — albeit brief — musical sampling.
