Matt Wertz’s voice gets richer and better with each album, and Heatwave is a delight from start to finish. Ever the romantic, the cheery love songs here, such as “Whenever You Love Somebody,” have his optimistic signature all over them. “All I Ever Wanted” is a welcome sign of artistic growth, making this an ideal soundtrack for everything from a first dance to a road trip.
