Eowyn ‘Just Believe’ Review

Eowyn
Just Believe
(Independent)

On her sixth studio release, Eowyn delivers a project as interesting as her name. From start to finish, Just Believe delivers a heart-in-her-throat approach for the listener, as Eowyn sings with the kind of conviction and expression that can’t be learned. You either have it or you don’t, and she does in spades.

Coupled with songwriting that is surprisingly refreshing, Just Believe is a compelling listen, an album that’s a bit off the beaten path known as mainstream Christian radio. Sonically, the project has somewhat of a ‘90s alternative vibe, and audiences will likely fall into two camps—love it or not so much. Given how repetitive some music tends to sound, we find Eowyn to be a welcome addition and much-needed variation.
