Vocally, the debut selftitled release from the North Point worship leader delivers. Darnell’s smooth pop is consistent yet versatile, seamlessly vacillating between up-tempo tracks like “Strong Enough” to the emotive “Let My Soul Sing.” The songwriting isn’t quite on par with the delivery just yet, as evidenced on “Over and Over,” but when it comes to a voice that warrants attention, Darnell has ours.
