As Peter Greer explains in Mission Drift, many nonprofits feel forced to compromise their core calling in order to survive in today’s funding climate. This isn’t a new issue, but it is a growing issue. Grounds for Hope exists to help change that. We energize, encourage, and equip faith-inclusive nonprofits so they can stay true to their mission without apology—helping them tell their stories, amplify their impact, and connect with others who believe faith should be at the heart of outreach, not hidden from it. Our mission extends beyond nonprofits. Churches often partner with Christian ministries to extend their outreach, offering valuable mentorship to nonprofit leaders on the faith aspects of their work. Business leaders often look for simple measurable indicators of success rooted in how we meet immediate physical needs. However, we seek to inspire business leaders with stories of faith in action that will expand their understandings of success—stories that reveal deeper, long-term impact when emotional and spiritual needs are addressed alongside those physical needs. When business leaders understand the true scope of impact, they can become powerful advocates for strong processes that increase the effectiveness of outreach. Everyone wants to be part of work that makes a difference—and that is what faith in outreach empowers. Individuals across every community are called to invest in advancing the cause of Christ in our neighborhoods and throughout the world through acts of service that share God’s hope and love. Since 2019, Grounds for Hope has awarded more than $250,000 in grants, hosted over 100 nonprofits, and provided networking and creative tools to help organizations boldly share their faith in action. We partner with the nationally known nonprofit, Mission Increase, to deliver training that helps ministries remain committed to biblically-based fundraising and operational practices. We also partner with Grammy- and Dove-nominated producer Billy Smiley and his Music City Collective, whose artists write, record, and release new songs inspired by Grounds for Hope award nominations—transforming powerful stories of God’s love into music that reaches hearts and inspires action. Through all we do, we are driven by this belief: faith isn’t a liability in service—it’s the reason behind it. To advance this mission, join us for a two-day celebration of faith in action, encouragement, and community impact. The Our Great Commission Conference and Events brings together churches, nonprofits, and businesses to explore our shared mission to serve in Jesus’ name. Nationally recognized trainers from Mission Increase will lead three inspiring tracks—Transformational Living, Making Disciples, and Collaboration Opportunities—equipping you to live out your Kingdom purpose. Special luncheons will feature author Scott Cutlan, whose remarkable story of radically following God’s call will challenge and inspire. A nonprofit showcase will provide opportunities for ministries to connect with one another, conference attendees, and the public. Monday evening, the Grounds for Hope Awards Dinner will honor individuals living out faith through lives of service, and recognize and provide grants for outstanding faith-inclusive nonprofits that refuse to compromise their mission. More than just presenting awards, we will tell their stories in fresh, creative ways—showing the real-world impact of faith in action. This year’s honorees—nominated at www.g4hope.com—will be celebrated before an audience of business, church, nonprofit, and community leaders, ministry partners, and friends. Tuesday night, experience the Jesus Revolution Concert—a rare gathering of the pioneers of Contemporary Christian Music. Hear Love Song, Honeytree, Randy Matthews, Phil Keaggy, and surprise guests, hosted by Billy Smiley (White Heart) and John Schlitt (Petra) with their new band Union of Sinners and Saints. Also performing is the Music City Collective, debuting original songs inspired by the stories of today’s faith-rooted nonprofits as nominated through Grounds for Hope. We will also take time to reflect, remember, and honor the life of Chuck Girard, the incredible founding member of Love Song, who went to be with the Lord on August 11th. Attend the conference, the awards dinner, the luncheons, the concert—or all of them! Choose the events that inspire you most, and join a movement that stands boldly for faith in outreach.
