The crew of Artemis II woke up on Day 6 of the mission while approaching the moon to a familiar anthem: “Good Morning” by Mandisa featuring TobyMac. According to updates from NASA, the astronauts were greeted with the upbeat track as part of their wake-up call. Toby and Mandisa joined the all-star list including Chappell Roan, John Legend, Andre 3000, CeeLo Green.
Back on Earth, TobyMac summed it up best:
“Wow, what an honor for me and my friend @mandisaofficial… I know she’s smiling up there right now! #songinspace”
It hits a little deeper knowing Mandisa’s voice is now quite literally echoing through space.
Released in 2011 from What If We Were Real, “Good Morning” has long been one of CCM’s most enduring crossover hits—RIAA Gold-certified, a radio staple, and now, officially… interplanetary. With over 100 million streams and hundreds of millions of social views, the song has already had serious reach, but this took the track to the moon.

Earlier this week Anne Wilson was there to help send the mission off.

Wilson performed the National Anthem ahead of the launch, a moment she later called “the most special day of my entire career.” In a deeply personal reflection, she shared that she once dreamed of becoming an astronaut and working for NASA before life took her down a different path. Standing there, watching Artemis II prepare for its journey, she described the moment as overwhelming, a reminder that “God writes stories far greater than we could ever imagine.”
