March is here, which means one thing: brackets, debates, and “friendly” arguments. So, we figured… why not bring that same chaos to Christian music?

Welcome to CCM Magazine Madness: Decade of Dominance.

We’re putting the decades head-to-head to determine which era of Christian music truly ruled. From the pioneering sounds of the 60s and 70s, to the arena-sized energy of the 80s, the golden-age glory of the 90s, the youth-group takeover of the 2000s, the worship movement of the 2010s, and the still-unfolding story of the 2020s.

Every few days, two decades will go head-to-head in our bracket, and the winners will advance until one decade is crowned the ultimate CCM champion.

But here’s the important part…
