Holiday Worship at Its Finest: Christmas with CeCe Winans in Virginia 12-6-2024

The legendary queen of gospel, CeCe Winans, ushered in the holidays at Chrysler Hall in Norfolk, Virginia on her tour, Christmas with CeCe Winans featuring special guest Roman Collins in support of her latest album, Joyful Joyful: A Christmas Album released on November 1st. This beloved and best-selling female gospel artist of all time received a warm welcome by a sold-out crowd. Besides the Christmas album, CeCe also released in 2024, More Than This and just won Billboard Music Awards on December 12th for Top Gospel Artist and Top Gospel Song “That’s My King” from that powerful album.

On a frigid December 6th, the stage was adorned with elegant Christmas wreaths and twinkling garlands, setting the mood for a night of worship and celebration. CeCe began the night in a shimmering green gown with “Angels We Have Heard on High” and “It’s Christmas.” Roman Collins and CeCe’s sister Debbie came out and sang duets with her for “The First Noel” and “Jingle Bells.” Photos and the complete setlist of the night is below.

After the break, American Idol season 22 star Roman Collins, sang “Mary Did You Know,” “With You,” and “In the Name of Jesus” with his rich, soulful voice while covering every inch of the stage with his boundless energy. Debbie Winans lit up Chrysler Hall with “The Story,” “Grown Up Christmas,” and “Thankful.” She has an incredible voice with a wide vocal range much to the delight of the gospel fans. It was a pleasure hearing both in concert for the first time.

CeCe Winans once again took the stage and looked spectacular in a shimmering white gown. Her voice soared while singing beloved Christmas carols “O Holy Night,” “Silent Night,” and “Go Tell It On the Mountain.” A time of worship, prayer, and the call to salvation followed, and many in the crowd made professions of faith to end the perfect Christmas night.
