Aaron Shust: Out of Darkness

The past few years have been trying to say the least for Aaron Shust and his family. Devastating illnesses and circumstances beyond their control have put their faith to the test. His latest album, releasing July 16, chronicles their response to the trials–praise. Read below for a brief excerpt from CCM’s forthcoming exclusive interview with Aaron.

“We’ve taken a lot of solace in the book of Job. He wasn’t behind the scenes when he lost everything in one fail swoop. His response was to worship. We’re trying to take a cue from Job and respond with praise. Job lost everything he owned in one fail swoop…his response was to worship. When I find myself praising God for who He is in the midst of it, it lifts my spirits.”
