Hollyn – ‘Hollyn’ album review

Many have been introduced to new Gotee Records artist Hollyn naturally through the auspices of Toby McKeehan (TobyMac), whether it be her collaboration on his latest album (“Backseat Driver”), or nightly on stage during the current ***THIS IS NOT A TEST*** Tour. If you like female-driven vocals overlaying bumping pop and hip hop tracks, then her superbly produced debut self-titled EP is for you. Hollyn is no one-trick pony, she can belt it out with the best, as heard on the finger-snapping “Hey Mama,” and “Steady Me” featuring Aaron Cole. This initial offering is power-packed with all the ingredients of a superstar in the making, and we’re already eager for more material!
