The Story Behind the Song ‘It’s Not Too Late’: Produced by & co-written w/ Gabriel Wilson (Bethel Music, Martin Smith, etc.) “It’s Not Too Late” off of Jena’s EP “Fighting For My Soul” is a celebration of God’s sovereignty—meant to remind us all that there’s nothing God can’t redeem & nothing that can stop His plans. The majority of the song was written spontaneously in about 20 minutes and was penned in a season where Jena saw God restore a handful of opportunities she felt like she had missed due to her own fear and inaction—grieved over moments she thought were lost only to later experience God bring around again AND in an even more beautiful way than before. A season that most people can really relate to and a good reminder for listeners to trust and surrender. LYRICS It’s Not Too Late by Jena Brancart Songwriter(s): Jena Brancart, Gabriel Wilson Producer(s): Gabriel Wilson Verse 1 I surrender every care and rest here in Your arms I know that You will redeem My eyes have seen it, Lord Just when I thought I missed it all And everything felt lost Your Spirit came and opened doors That no man could’ve shut Pre-Chorus Oh, the story isn’t done You say there is more to come Chorus So, I will not fear I know this is not the ending Your hand can heal You will write a new beginning If the Maker of the sky and earth is holding everything Then I will rest in confidence and know it’s not too late For me Verse 2 You’re the God who breathes into dry bones and they begin to rise The One who touches blinded eyes and brings them back their sight Living in Your Kingdom’s not an ordinary life Nothing is impossible Your power is not confined Pre-Chorus Oh, the story isn’t done You say there is more to come Chorus So, I will not fear I know this is not the ending Your hand can heal You will write a new beginning If the Maker of the sky and earth is holding everything Then I will rest in confidence and know it’s not too late For me Leave a Reply Cancel ReplyYou must be logged in to post a comment.
