God’s promise in Romans 8:28 reads, “We know that in all
things God works for the good of those who love him, who
have been called according to his purpose.”

But how can God use even the worst circumstances in life
for good, to bring us closer to Him? Do we really believe He will
take the most unlikely events and the most painful moments of
 life for our good and His glory? The confident assertion of this
Romans 8:28 promise is that God will use all things for good.

We who, by God’s Spirit, have been adopted into His family
can rest assured that God is at work in our lives for good.
Based on this truth, Paul boldly assured us that everything will
work out in God’s way and in His time. The result should be
our deepest confidence in the heart of God and His love for us.
If we patiently wait, we will see the unfolding of this tapestry of
experiences into the establishment of His purposes. Our confidence
flows out of His steadfastness.
