With its refreshing, clean and clear sound, Banner succeeds in all aspects: vocals, musicality and arrangements. Guest vocalist Kari Jobe takes “On The Throne” from a good song to a great feat, while “Fall Into You” works beautifully behind a piano-based simplicity. Even the bouncy “Fun” steers clear of an overdone finish, instead offering a delightful and surprising conclusion. The album flows well and could be enjoyed song by song, or from start to finish, making it an ideal addition to any listener’s collection.
