Bart Millard Wins Dove Award for Songwriter of the Year (Artist)

Bart Millard, lead singer for multi-platinum Christian music band MercyMe, added another Dove Award to his long list of accolades, garnering the award for Songwriter of the Year (Artist) at the 50th Annual GMA Dove Awards. MercyMe unveiled their brand new single, "Almost Home," live during the show.

More Dove Awards Show Performers Announced

The Gospel Music Association announced another round of all-star performances for the 50th Annual GMA Dove Awards including nominated artists MercyMe, Lecrae and a collaborative worship moment with Phil Wickham, Brian Johnson and the Bethel Music Band. Christian and Gospel legends Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith, Cece Winans and Steven Curtis Chapman will join together for a special icon performance.
