Passion Worship: ‘Even So Come’ album review

Passion worship events impacts millions of college students on a global scale while also creating a generational legacy of worship releases. The songs of Chris Tomlin and friends are sung every Sunday on every inhabited continent, and that legacy continues on Even So Come.

Recorded at Passion events in Atlanta and Houston, thousands of gathered worshippers sing along to the latest gems from Tomlin, Crowder, Kristian Stanfill, Christy Nockels and newcomer Melodie Malone. Title track, “Even So Come,” opens the ceremonies with a hymn from an expectant bride, but it’s Crowder’s “Lift Your Head Weary Sinner (Chains)” that sparks a set with a swampy electric vibe.
