Rating: 4 Stars

The one-time namesake of The Andy Griffith Show and star of Matlock was also a lifelong believer with an affinity for southern gospel music. The best of his periodic musical recordings find their home on this soft-spoken and low-key collection that consists entirely of warm-hearted hymns (sometimes grouped together as medleys) sung in Griffith’s charming drawl.
