Experiencing hopelessness? Finding yourself connecting with the statement, “Now we’re feeling what hope doesn’t feel like…?” *

Hope? It’s as much as a “necessary concept” * as it is a “feeling,” which is to say it’s neither of the two. It’s more than a feeling—and it’s certainly, way more than just a concept. Hope. Folks, Jesus is our only hope, and He’s always been here for us.

Ephesians 2:12-13 (NIV) says, Remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

When someone harps about exclusion and hopelessness, please don’t let them convince you that you’re alone and without a prayer in this world. Reach for the only One who saves—the only One to offer real hope. He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit (Eph. 2:17-18 NIV).
