(laughs)
It ends up being things like that. Over there, they're like, "Yeah, give us the club stuff, but give us this other stuff as well."
Cool. Well alright, let's wrap things up with a few lighter questions and you can get home and eat some dinner or whatever.
(laughs)
Since you're in Portland, I have to ask what your take is on the whole Greg Oden thing.
Oh. Yeah. He. . . I've never been an extreme sports nut or anything. I've always liked playing different sports - football, soccer, baseball, hitting mostly, and basketball. I was never that great at basketball, but seeing and hearing what happened to him, I was like oh, wow. And he's genuinely sorry about it, but it's a tough break for everyone - for him and them. And for him being so young, it's like, man, your knees are already blown out. How is that going to be as you get older and play harder. But, yeah, I don't know. It's a hard call to say. The Blazers have been cool with it. They're there for him because they see how sincere he is and he couldn't help it. That's just his body, but I'm hoping a miracle happens. If not, I don't know if in a whole year, they can be like, "here he is, it's all good." If some new hotshot pops up out of high school next year, then I don't know, he could get the axe.
Well, it's been a pretty big story, local for you.
Yeah, I just heard it a few weeks ago and I've been hearing all the talks and stuff. I haven't heard anybody say anything bad about him, but I'm sure there are a lot of people who are bitter and mad about it.
Yeah. Alright. Have you ever played ping pong with Shawn Lee?
(laughs) Shawn Lee and his ping pong orchestra. No, but I've met with him when I was in Europe. He's a cool guy. He played on a couple of tracks on the record as well.
Yeah. Now you mention that Lightheaded has something in the works. . .
Yeah.
Is that a year out, two years out?
Probably sometime next year. Only because we were supposed to have been working on it to have it out this year but that just didn't happen because of numerous things. Othello moved away from here and then just all the numerous projects. Me being busy with my record. So yeah, things just got pretty loose and out of hand, but we're hoping that we can all meet up close to the end of the year after I finish this tour up and all go over the beats and concepts that we already have started and just push to get it done, hopefully by the beginning of the year - January or February - turn it in by Spring. That would be a good goal.
Is that going to be with Tres Records again?
