By Andy Argyrakis

A SOLO JONAS

He may be one third of today's most famous boy band turned maturing pop/rock outfit The Jonas Brothers, but Nick Jonas is also tapping into his solo side. Who I Am (Hollywood) features a more rollicking sound thanks to his new backing band The Administration, which includes drummer Michael Bland (Prince, Rob Thomas), keyboardist Tommy Barbarella (Switchfoot, Jonny Lang), guitarist David Ryan Harris (John Mayer, Santana) and bassist John Fields (producer of Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, Pink).

REMIX THAT RECORD

Like many of Kevin Max's key influences from the 1980s (Duran Duran, The Smiths, The Cure), the longtime dc talk singer turned solo artist is reworking one of his top tunes for a digital maxi single of sorts. Traveler: Mora Brothers Remixes EP (dPulse) is an online exclusive that reworks the title track in five different versions, including club, vocal and house mixes.

DIFFERENT SEASONS OF A FAMED CHRISTMAS COMPOSER

Jazz giant George Winston turns into a highly anticipated new batch of piano tunes. Love Will Come-The Music of Vince Guaraldi, Volume 2 (RCA) traces the famed Peanuts' composer in his signature style. Expect to hear plenty of television tunes from various non-holiday Charlie Brown specials, both familiar to casual fans and die-hards alike, plus a few obscure tracks sure to keep both types of fans on their toes.
