The holidays may have come and gone for this winter season, but Joy Electric continues the spirit of gift giving. Starting today at myspace.com/joyelectric, listeners can take advantage of three free downloads featuring demos from last year’s My Grandfather, the Cubist collection. Dubbed Early Cubism, this freebie EP includes the songs “Four Gone Pierre,” “Rudimentary Animation” and “Draw For Me, Mc Escher.”

STARFYLER ON VINYL

Who ever would’ve thought the days of record albums would come back, let alone to such hipster-pleasing degrees? Though many mainstream acts have already re-issued their entire catalogues on vinyl (most notably Radiohead), faith-based listeners are also starting to see a few choice titles come across in that format. This week, Starflyer 59’s recently released Dial M hits streets, complete with blown up packaging and crystal clear sound (for those who still own a functioning turntable of course).

For those who can’t get enough of Kathy Troccoli’s Greatest Hits disc, her best loved songs are now out in music video format via the Greatest Video Hits package. The project boasts contemporary Christian classics like “Mission of Love,” “Go Light Your World,” “Everything Changes,” “My Life Is In Your Hands,” “A Different Road,” “A Baby’s Prayer” and “Love One Another.” A “making of” segment for the “Love One Another” video will also be of notable interest to die-hards who have spent years searching for the somewhat rare clip.
