CAMP COMMUNICATES LOUDER THAN EVER

For those shopping before Thanksgiving, Jeremy Camp’s Speaking Louder Than Before (BEC) is sure to be amongst the week’s hottest sellers. However, those who hold off until Friday may have a chance to score the CD on sale, that is of course, if they can wait that long! The project marks the singer/songwriter’s first as a 30-year-old, but he packs just as much (if not more) youthful enthusiasm into the gritty rockers, while approaching the power ballads with a newfound wisdom.

KIERRA GETS BOLD

After shedding her “Kiki” nickname, Kierra Sheard has earned acclaim for a mature new direction packed within Bold Right Life (EMI Gospel). Outside of expanded vocal excellence and production that takes her soulful/R&B backbone to the next level, expect to hear songs of a young woman coming of age, but with Christ still at the forefront of her life.

IN BETWEEN FOR THE ALMOST

Even though Underoath is on the road non-stop, drummer/vocalist Aaron Gillespie is still committed to his side project The Almost. Though that band is in between proper studio projects at the moment, No Gift To Bring (Tooth & Nail) is meant to tide over faithful fans through the holidays until the band’s official 2009 release. The track listing includes “Awful Direction,” “Little Drummer Boy,” “Amazing Because It Is,” “Your Love is Extravagant” and “Dirty and Left Out (Mctague-lectro Version).”

DEMON HUNTER ON DVD

Solid State’s Demon Hunter also turns in a collection geared toward faithful followers in the form of the DVD/CD set 45 Days (Solid State). Besides just a visual and audio soundtrack of the band’s recent tour, the collection also includes a documentary that traces the players’ personalities both on and off the stage.
