WINTER WONDER SLAM UNVEILED

Through his varied career with dcTalk and as a solo star, tobyMac has always heralded diversity perhaps more than any other Christian artist. He puts those words into action once again on this year’s “Winter Wonder Slam Tour,” which not only features the rapper as headliner, but also pop/punkers Relient K, dance rockers Family Force 5 and new Gotee Records act B. Reith. The tour runs from November 11 to December 14 boasting all of those incredible acts, alongside a chance to assist the less fortunate through the tour’s annual Toys For Tots campaign. 

THE MYRIAD ASKS FOR A HELPING HAND

Though The Myriad found major attention throughout 2008 thanks to endless MTV airplay, members are currently experiencing a hardship that calls for support and prayers from fans. Drummer Randy Miller just had a tumor removed from his upper torso that appears to be cancerous, which could lead to a fortune in upcoming medical bills. Unfortunately, the performer (like most musicians) doesn’t have medical insurance, in turn calling upon the Christian community to help him, his wife and children in any way possible. ANOTHER ROUND FOR RANDALL

Frequent Caedmon’s Call/Andrew Peterson collaborator Randall Goodgame just released his first solo EP in four years entitled Bluebird. The Quinlan (Rebecca St. James, Benjamin Gate) produced project is currently available for purchase at major online retailers, plus the indie artist’s personal website, randallgoodgame.com. 

LIGHTING UP PURE VOLUME

Tooth & Nail’s high octane alternative rockers Capital Lights are still riding high off the summer CD This Is An Outrage, currently being performed throughout “Creation Festival: The Tour.” Those in cyberspace are also able to catch the newcomers in music video format for the single “Outrage,” which recently found its way onto the homepage of purevolume.com and has since increased the group’s visibility to more mainstream viewers.
