March 23, 2008 - Mission of Mercy is pleased to announce the sponsorship of the 5th Annual CIA Summit. On March 28th and 29th 2008, independent musicians of all genres will converge on Franklin, TN to discuss the excitement, challenges, and opportunities of being an unsigned artist.
Mission of Mercy’s Artist Relations Manager Phil Baquie will be available throughout the event to help artists foster their passions to help the children of the third world. He will also be speaking at the event about using your platform and talents to motivate change.
CIA Summit was created by Keith Morh, founder of Indieheaven.com, as a place where musicians are not only empowered in their business, but challenged in their ministry. With Mission of Mercy’s focus of enabling artists of all levels to be a voice for the world’s most needy, the match seemed obvious.
Mohr states, "We're thrilled to parter with Mission of Mercy. What excites me is their unique ministry to children not reached by other relief organizations. By working together, we can all serve the less fortunate and provide them tangible support and hope in Christ. Our CIA Summit conference draws many independent artists worldwide, eager to share their music and message. Mission of Mercy will provide them a platform larger than themselves to get behind and be a part of. We are thankful that Mission of Mercy believes in our organization and supports us in our mission as we support theirs."
“I see this partnership as a natural fit,” continues Baquie. “Indieheaven and the CIA Summit provides an amazing opportunity for bands and artists to experience community and grow in their ministry and craft while Mission of Mercy can provide Indieheaven artists financial support and the opportunity to empower their audience to change the world one forgotten child at a time.”
CIA Summit will be held March 28-29, 2008 at Journey/Ecclesia Church in Franklin, TN.
