NASHVILLE, TN...2/28/08.....As their sophomore project, NEVER GOING BACK TO OK hits retail outlets and digital domains worldwide, INO/Columbia Records’ band THE AFTERS street week has been filled with a plethora of glittering reviews, viral video domination with “MySpace Girl” on YouTube, MySpace, Seventeen.com and more, as well as a No. 1 Christian CHR single with their title track.  (To view "MySpace Girl" on this site, visit our CCM Blog.) In addition, after only 48 hours of release, the project rocketed to No. 14 on iTunes® overall digital chart, and No. 4 on the digital Rock chart. “Keeping Me Alive,” THE AFTERS emerging single at Christian AC continues to gain support from key stations including KSBJ/Houston, KTSL/Spokane, KPEZ/Austin and KXOJ/Tulsa.

With prime placement on MySpace.com, YouTube, Seventeen.com, upcoming uses scheduled to appear on the TV GUIDE Channel website and E!, as well as a special MySpace bulletin sent out by former label mates the Jonas Brothers, The Afters viral video for “MySpace Girl” has already been viewed over 125,000 times on MySpace with an 86% rating, and over 16,000 times on YouTube where it has a 4 star rating and has been chosen as a favorite over 300 times. The Gospel Music Channel with host the television broadcast premiere the video on March 8th. To view the video go to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BA_LDKz3Tc0.

In addition to the previously mentioned iTunes® overall and rock charting, NEVER GOING BACK TO OK was front and center on the home page of iTunes® and a featured release on the new music Tuesday email that went out to millions of subscribers. Along with iTunes®, fans may have found The Afters on the homepage of Rhapsody's subscription service, the album highlighted in their weekly e-newsletter as well as on Rhapsody.com, RoadRunner, and Time Warner. Last but not least, Napster did an exclusive stream and highlighted the band on their genre pages as well.

NEVER GOING BACK TO OK is a culmination of all the buzz and excitement of the past three years for this emerging band. After receiving a Gospel Music Award for “Best New Artist of 2006” and having the most downloaded inspirational track (“Beautiful Love”) of the same year on the iTunes® charts, the band is back with a diverse record that is continuing to impress a wide rang of media, including the following:

“[Never Going Back to OK is] ... a glossy collection split between catchy hooks and emotional hand-wringing on a dozen tunes ... [T]he Afters deftly balance humor and sentiment on "Myspace Girl" ... the song is punchy and bright, and a sound that's definitely worth pursuing. “
