Big Shiny Planet Introduces [Up] Bible Study Series Featuring...
(Nashville, Tennessee) Big Shiny Planet, a company that specializes in creating interactive and media-driven Christian products, has released [UP] the highly anticipated and innovative Bible study series for teens and young adults to retail nationwide.

The four volume DVD-driven series features Christian music artists teaching biblical principles behind their songs. Each volume contains six weeks of study material and teaching videos by a variety of artists including BarlowGirl, Todd Agnew, Superchick, SONICFLOOd, Sanctus Real, and many others.

Bruce Gust, Creative Director at Big Shiny Planet, claims that using music to teach is not only effective, but also biblical. "God Himself used a musical approach to reinforce His message to the Israelites in Deuteronomy 31," says Gust. "It's an incredibly effective approach and Big Shiny Planet was able to package it in a way that made it both effective and cost efficient for any size church."

In 2007, an early version of [UP] was released to over 250 churches that evaluated the study and provided feedback. "To often products enter the market with a claim that this is what the church needs, yet they never bothered to ask," claims Gust. "Our goal was to take a proven method of teaching (using music), find out how it best meets the church's need, then create products that the church wants."

Grammy nominated band SONICFLOOd joined forces with Big Shiny Planet to teach on the subject of fulfilling God's purpose in your life with their song Everlasting. "Music was created by God, as was every instrument to be used to bring Him glory," said Rick Heil, lead vocalist for SONICFLOOd. "And as we lift up the King of kings in song we see how the power of praise and worship brings us healing and deliverance.

As a band, we have experienced this both in America and overseas. It's also amazing how God can use music to unite and renew our minds with His mighty Word! That's why we're so excited to be a part of the [UP] Bible study series."

Big Shiny Planet is planning the release of additional [UP] Bible studies as well as a host of other innovative Bible study products for the church and personal use. [UP] is now on the shelves at Christian retail stores nationwide including LifeWay and Family Christian Stores. For more information on Big Shiny Planet [UP] visit http://www.bigshinyplanet.com.

Located in Nashville, Tennessee, Big Shiny Planet specializes in innovative Christian media and the creation of Bible Study content that is both different and compelling. Big Shiny Planet most recently partnered with Green Key Books, publishers of the GOD'S WORD TRANSLATION based out of Tampa, Florida.
