**As 2007 comes to a close, Lava/Atlantic/Ardent/INO band SKILLET continues to celebrate a fabulous year with their second consecutive GRAMMY nomination. The critically-acclaimed and best-seller COMATOSE is nominated for Best Rock or Rap Gospel Album in the 50th Annual GRAMMY Awards, to be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on February 10th. The show will be broadcast at 8pm et/pt on CBS.
** On top of the GRAMMY news, Skillet has also been lauded with R&R’s No. 1 Christian CHR Song of the Year with their massive hit “The Last Night”, which was also R&R’s No. 2 Christian Rock song of the year. In addition, Skillet was named 2007s No. 2 top artist on both the CHR and ROCK year end lists.
**Skillet garnered four consecutive No. 1 singles from COMATOSE with “Rebirthing”, “The Last Night”, “The Older I Get” and “Comatose”.

Skillet’s explosive 2006 Lava/Atlantic/Ardent/INO Records release, Comatose follows 2004’s Collide, which launched the group into the public eye and garnered the band a prestigious Grammy Award nomination. A critical fave, Comatose has become their best-selling project to date, doubling the sales of Collide in half the time. In follow up to packed out club shows on their own as well as with Flyleaf in the spring, and performances before summer festival crowds, this fall Skillet opened for mainstream rockers Breaking Benjamin and Three Days Grace. In the process of becoming one of the hardest working, most rocking, and broadly appealing acts of its generation, radio welcomed Comatose with open arms, as the first single, “Rebirthing” spent seven-weeks at No.1 on Christian Rock.
