MTV's No.1 Undiscovered Band, RE:ZOUND, Announces the Release...
After topping MTV’s undiscovered charts at No. 1 for over four months in 2004 with its independent single, “Angel,” Re:zound is poised to release its national debut album, Abandoned To You, March 11, 2008 with Vertical Shift Records. Although this is Re:zound’s first nationally distributed album through EMI CMG Distribution, the band is not naive to recording, the road, or to the service of the gospel.

“Music is the platform, redemption through Christ is the message. If all of this helps us reach more people with the gospel, then I’m in,” explains front man Jason Anderson.

Guided by the production team of GRAMMY winning mixer/ recording engineer J.R. McNeely (Mercy Me, Relient K, Jeremy Camp, Kutless) and multi-million selling producer/artist Ken Mary (Alice Cooper, Trik Turner, The Beach Boys, LaRue), Abandoned To You emanates edgy, lingering melodies and lyrics. With inspiration derived from scriptures, the first single, “Beautiful,” was serviced to radio Nov. 30. To hear the new song now, go to http://www.myspace.com/rezound01.

Love that’s in my heart / Make your way into my hands / So I can show just how I feel

Express all the ways I can put this into action / But I don’t know how to show these feelings

What You mean to me, You’re so much more…

You're beautiful/You're beautiful

“God created our ability to communicate, and yet I find it so hard to verbalize who He is in my life. Maybe the words are available, but I’m incapable of phrasing it into anything remotely measurable to who He is. ‘Beautiful’ is a song explaining that I can’t seem to explain… well, what I want the world to know about Him. Romans 1:20 teaches us that we can clearly see His eternal power and divine nature in what he has created. He’s everything that I see, and yet, He’s more Beautiful,” says Anderson.

Here is what radio is already saying about the single and the band:

“‘Beautiful,’” Re:zound is back!” exclaims Drue Mitchell, KVRK “Power FM” (Dallas) music director. “The last cd spent a long time in my player-- looking forward to this new record and tour to follow! You want to see how these guys make bold rock n' roll relevant and modern, rock this new tune!”

Matt Rhodes, WEXC “FREQ 107” / Whip of Cords Syndicated Radio program director calls “Beautiful,” “A great song with encouraging lyrics that puts things in visual perspective.”

“Re:zound is a TREMENDOUS group that blends their God given talent with His given purpose of reaching the lost!” says Mike Bondora, KCFY 88.1 FM (Yuma, AZ) station director. “It's VERY refreshing to see tremendous talent, maintain their eternal focus, with authenticity and excellence!”

Re:zound members, Anderson (lead vocalist), Jeff Zubeck (lead guitar), Wes Bender (acoustic/rhythm guitar), Ariel Ortiz (bass guitar) and Jordan Potts (drums), play for crowds reaching 75,000 per event at rock crusades since 2001. Their touring spans six nations, including Communist Vietnam, Thailand, India and Cambodia, as well as US performances with artists such as Jeremy Camp, Michael W. Smith, David Crowder Band and Tree 63. In addition to being MTV’s No. 1 Undiscovered Band of 2004, the band has also garnered three top 20 R&R Christian hit singles with “Majesty,” “Great I Am” and “Hallelujah,” all from an independent release in 2004. Re:zound’s Anderson further hosts a nationally syndicated radio program, “Taking a Minute,” which plays weekly in over 300 U.S. cities.

Re:Zound is an amazing band. Not only is the music great to listen to, but the lyrics are so beautiful, it is dare I say... an honor to be able to listen to this band. Re:Zound's message of the love of God speaks to me in so many way. I recommend this album to any Christian interested in music.
