Airstaff Quotes:
o DJ I Rock Jesus – “I've been wating for a station like K-HDZ for quite awhile and I'm excited about it! I was a Dee Jay in the world for 18 years before God called me to be his DJ. After hearing what God was doing through new forms of music as Hip Hop, Rock, Reggae, Techno, etc... I had a desire to be used to share this music with this generation. The Holy Spirit led me to Deuteromony 30:19 ( I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Therefore, Choose LIFE!!) Basically it was confirmation that I should do all the Lord directed me to do to offer a choice of Music For Life. (It's obvious that music for death is available 24/7). I believe K-HDZ is commissioned to do the same thing! My weekly show, The Live Mix Show found a home at K-HDZ and its been a blessing! They keep it STRAIGHT MINISTRY HEAT!! Much Love to HEADZ-UP and all the listeners for their support of the show and the encouragement to continue it.”
o DJ one3 – “I, nor my wife were raised in the church. When my family and I were first saved we faced a constant problem that required a unique, Christ-centered solution. We would go to Bible study or church service and then get into the car and turn on the local secular rap stations with the sub-human lyrics. When we had uprooted all other major issues that we faced in our walk with God we eventually started to choose our media. Christian media. We still desired hip-hop but wanted lyrics that pointed us heavenward and spoke of a Christian lifestyle. Holy Hip-Hop was a breath of fresh air! My Urban Gospel filled mixtapes, that I passed out to everyone who had an ear for hip-hop music were touching the unchurched such as gang members, clubbers, prostitutes, those trapped in the porn industry and, dare I say my family. People who were in my mission field, whom I never thought would step foot in the church were making alter calls and changing their lifestyles. It was then that I got the vision to take this on a global scale via radio. To find like-minded DJ’s doing the same in their hoods was such a XL blessing from above! Gospel music is a powerful tool to reach people for Jesus and sadly is practically shut out of radio. When you think about it hip-hop has been around for 25 plus years, people request it at weddings, you hear instrumental hip-hop at amusement parks and malls. God said to spread His gospel to ALL NATIONS…so why shut out the hip-hop nation?” People will look at rap videos and say “Tisk, tisk that is immoral” but what are they doing to support God’s solution to the secular rap pollution? HeadzUp FM is dedicated to spreading the good news of Jesus Christ through music to those outside of most outreach programs and encouraging the saints of God heavenward. And you can quote me on that!”
