Aquasis presents Casting Crowns -- “The Altar and The Door” Fall Tour with special guest Leeland, and introducing John Waller. Heralded as one of the top-billed tours of the season, “The Altar and The Door” Tour kicks off on September 27 in San Antonio, following the group’s highly-anticipated third album release on August 28 (Beach Street/Reunion Records),  Casting Crowns will lead the touring season, visiting 36 markets this fall, including Atlanta, Birmingham, Houston, Portland, Seattle, Phoenix, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C., wrapping the leg on December 2 in Dekalb, IL. “The Altar and The Door” Tour will visit a total of 80-cities in 2007-2008.

 

Aquasis, a U.S.-based company dedicated to stewardship and advancement of natural water resources, has signed on as a tour sponsor, joining World Vision in their ongoing international work with Casting Crowns. Casting Crowns has been the most played artist on all Christian radio formats combined, with six consecutive No.1 AC radio hits, and has sold more than 2.5 million albums to date.  Lead singer and songwriter Mark Hall has been a student pastor for 16 years and currently serves on staff at Eagle's Landing First Baptist Church in Atlanta. Casting Crowns claims the distinction of being the fastest CCM artist in its career to have its first two albums certified Platinum, and only the second in RIAA history ever to achieve it (the other being Jars of Clay). The band recently returned from North Korea, as the only U.S. band invited to play at the April Art Friendship Festival
