Reflection: The first time I read that verse, I got mad at God! I was young, single, a new Christian living on my own in a large city having trouble paying bills and making ends meet.  My car needed repair and I needed cash – fast.  I didn’t want the Holy Spirit – I wanted money!  Somehow God did make provision for that repair and through the years I have come to realize that all my needs are indeed met in Jesus!

At times we can feel so helpless when faced with the homeless, or even when trying to console a friend.  We feel like we don’t have the right words, let alone the answers or provision they require.  While it’s important to assist with practical needs, the greatest thing we can do for others is lead them to Jesus.  He alone has the answers and provision, and it’s His Holy Spirit who leads us into all truth.

When we give them Jesus, we give them hope and the opportunity to hope in someone stronger than themselves.
When we give them Jesus we give them trust and the privilege to trust in someone greater than their greatest obstacle.
When we give them Jesus, we give them everything He embodies and represents. 

Let’s change the world today! Let’s change someone’s circumstance by giving them Jesus!
