BIOGRAPHY

RE:ZOUND... Playing for crowds reaching 50,000 - 75,000 per event at rock crusades since 2001 spanning six nations, being named MTV's 1 undiscovered band in 2001, impacting Christian radio with three top 20 singles from an independent release in 2004... although this RE:ZOUND's first nationally distributed album via VSR Music Group and EMI/CMG, the band is not naive to the road, or the service of the gospel.

Re:Zound made history by performing a special two night concert event free and open to the public in Communist Vietnam this past March during their 2007 Asia tour, but not without facing seemingly impossible hurdles. This was the first time the Vietnamese government had ever granted permission for a Christian band to play in the country and worship Jesus Christ openly, forever changing cultural history in this communist nation. “We were told by the people that this is the first time in the nations’ history that people publicly worshipped God, and that the gospel was preached in public and on television,” says Re:Zound frontman, Jason Anderson.

The new album Abandoned to You rocks the stores March 11, 2008, and with help from JR Mcneely (Mercyme, Jeremy Camp, Kutless) this album is poised to explode. "Music is the platform, redemption through Christ is the message. If all of this helps us reach more people with the gospel, then I'm in," explains front man Jason Anderson (yes, the voice of radio spots, "Taking a Minute") The music has the familiar flavor of Casting Crowns with a heavier edge, and lingering melodies that will keep you humming past the time you shouldn't been asleep. With inspiration derived from scriptures, the first single, “Beautiful,” speaks of the beauty of God...

Love that’s in my heart / Make your way into my hands /
So I can show just how I feel
Express all the ways I can put this into action / But I don’t know how to show these feelings
What You mean to me, You’re so much more…
You're beautiful  You're beautiful

“God created our ability to communicate, and yet I find it so hard to verbalize who He is in my life. Maybe the words are available, but I’m incapable of phrasing it into anything remotely measurable to who He is. ‘Beautiful’ is a song explaining that I can’t seem to explain… well, what I want the world to know about Him. Romans 1:20 teaches us that we can clearly see His eternal power and divine nature in what he has created. He’s everything that I see, and yet, He’s more Beautiful,” says Anderson.

There is no doubt about the message and purpose of RE:ZOUND... no doubt whatsoever.
