Julius Petty
Gospel / Hip-Hop / R&B / Rap / Soul / Urban Gospel

BIOGRAPHY

Julius Petty blessed by the Lord with an uplifting voice and the gift of writing inspiring lyrics is sent by the Lord to share the message of “light in dark days”.  Julius is an accomplished recording artist working on his second Album “Thank You”. Previously, Julius recorded an album entitled “Too Late”. Five years ago Christ found Julius' lost Soul and he was Saved. Julius now uses God's gifts to sing and lift up His name. He ministers to the souls of youth and the castaway, through music, and the spoken word.

Performance venues have included the Chaz & Wlsons, the Ark, Sylvia's Soul Food Restaurant, York Summerfest in Tennessee, South Carolina, Connecticut, Baltimore, Md., Brooklyn Mod, Numerous churches, gospel concerts, anniversaries, private, public and corporate events, and the Apollo in Harlem, NY.

Today, Minister Petty is an Urban Gospel lyricist, performer, recording artist, and motivational speaker_with an awesome testimony. He resides in Freeport, Long Island. His first gospel Album “Thank You” with record label, Feel So Good Entertainment, is being released in September of 2005. The first single titled “Grateful” will be show-cased at the 2005 Urban Impact Gospel Summit in August of 2005.

Julius' late uncle for whom he is named, discovered his vocal talents at the early age of nine years old. Some of Julius' artist influences include Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, later Johnny Gill and most recently India Arie. His favorite song is “God Will Make A Way”. His personal goals include practicing the 'Fruit of the Spirit”. Although he is interested in all aspects of music and ministry, writing and performing are his passion.

The single most important short-term goal that consumes his thoughts and prayers is the development of a non-denominational, interracial, multi-cultural outreach ministry. While in heaven on earth, this visionary imagines performing at the Grammy's, American Music Awards, Gospel, and Stellar Awards: later he dreams of performing with the “whole world”, before GOD. He desires that the “World” has the opportunity to “Taste and See that the Lord is Good” and even promises that their life will never be the same. A life time from now, Julius wants people to remember the following:

“My everlasting love for God, family, all people, and even my enemies”! — Julius Petty
