Circus Dawn exploded onto the Chicago music scene in late 2004 with their debut album - "Avant Garde". Touching on more progressive styles, their music is passionate, heavy and creatively unique, with cryptic lyrics, accompanied by melodic harmonies, pounding drums, and rhythmic guitars, capturing the power in their music with ease.
Beginning to form in 2000, the alternative metal band, Circus Dawn, had been flying under the radar screen, while founding members, Colin and Mark worked rigorously on rehearsing, completing the band's line-up, and perfecting their sound. By 2004, their first album was ready and they were on out touring.
In between shows and practices, Circus Dawn continued to write new songs and completed their sophomore release, "Between The Lines Of Gray", in 2006. Having developed their act to the next level of showmanship, Circus Dawn took their passionate, dynamic energetic show to the four-corners of the US and beyond!
Sadly, after the release and tour of Between The Lines Of Gray in the spring of 2007, Circus Dawn disbanded and parted peacefully in pursuits of individual goals and career moves. However, most of the band can be followed as they embark on new musical projects, so fans will have something to look for in the future.
