Brian "Head" Welch was one of the founding members of the controversial Nu–metal band Korn. Raised in Bakersfield, California, Head struggled with addictions to alcohol and drugs for much of his life. In 2005, after an intense spiritual awakening with by Jesus Christ, he was instantly delivered from years of substance abuse with almost no symptoms of withdrawal. At that time, he quit Korn to pursue an intimate relationship with God and a closer relationship with his daughter, Jennea. Today, he lives and prays with Jennea in Arizona. He has written a book, Save Me from Myself: How I Found God, Quit Korn, Kicked Drugs, and Lived to Tell My Story, about his testimony revealing the “behind-the-scenes” of a “rock star” lifestyle and his personal struggles that led him to seek God.
