Readers’ Choice Award Winners List

You spoke, and we listened! CCM Magazine put the year that was 2007 to the vote, and the readers turned out en masse to proclaim their choice—your favorite band, your favorite male artist, your favorite female artist, your favorite duo and more. There were some familiar faces and some comfortable choices—and there were also some major surprises.Well, one major surprise: Relative newcomers Family Force 5 dominated nearly every category. (And without being a member of a popular “secular” boy band.) But then, many of the names that turned up in the results just showed us that the new CCM Magazine is certainly moving in the right direction.

Diamond Days: Family Force 5

Last year, Family Force 5 exploded—and stole CCM readers’ hearts in the process.Within the School of Rock, the members of Family Force 5 are the cool teachers handing out endless hall passes, granting permission for everyone to just have fun. And in a musical climate where most are either taking themselves too seriously or pressured into a sonic formula, the Atlanta-based “crunk rock” group is making waves by simply inviting everyone to the party they’ve started.
