Out & About – December 1, 2015

1: Nashville’s Johnny Cash Museum Café was filled to the brim for the Cindy Morgan & Friends concert featuring the Dove Award-winning singer/songwriter, Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee Tom Douglas, GRAMMY and Dove Award winner Wayne Kirkpatrick, singer/songwriter/author Andrew Peterson and current Toad the Wet Sprocket player/fellow troubadour Jonathan Kingham. 2: Relative newcomer to Christian music Jordan Feliz joins Kirk Franklin at the 46th Annual Dove Awards as part of the live backstage coverage for the Gospel Music Association.

3: Flashing back to another Dove Awards moment, Lauren Daigle proved to not only be the night’s big winner, but also an incredible performer. In fact, she’s on the road the rest of this year into the beginning of next, starting with the Adore Christmas Tour alongside Chris Tomlin and Crowder, followed by Winter Jam. 4: He may have first established himself in the mainstream with this year’s breakout debut Coming Home (Columbia), but Leon Bridges wasn’t one to shy away from his faith throughout the project or a sold out Chicago concert. The acclaimed soul/R&B/gospel artist hearkens back to the golden era of Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye or Otis Redding, and like all of those artists, blends the personal with the spiritual throughout his stunning songwriting. 5 and 6: Planetshakers Band members sign #LETSGO CD jackets following the Planetshakers LIVE! Daystar event, which was captured in this sweet live shot of the troupe performing contemporary praise tunes from the Integrity Music project.
