We As Human (Atlantic) FOR FANS OF: Red, Skillet, Pillar QQQQ Few debut albums can boast the sort of company collected on We As Human’s self-titled LP. Then again, few young rock bands command the sort of attention that the Nashville- based quintet has. Skillet’s John Cooper (“Zombie”) and Flyleaf’s Lacey Sturm (“Take The Bullets Away”) appear on strong highlight tracks, but songs like “Dead Man” shows We As Human are a great rock band on their own.

The Wedding (Easy Killer) FOR FANS OF: The Fray, The Script QQQ
Brett Allen, a.k.a. Tidewater, returns again with another solid pop collection, and this one is sunny side up with most of The Wedding focused on Allen’s recent nuptials. Slight nods to Coldplay (“Desire”) and The Fray (“Here And Now”) can be heard on these radio-ready compositions, and fans of James Morrison or The Script will find much to enjoy here.

Big House To Ocean Floor
(Forefront Records) FOR FANS OF: Bleach, Jeremy Camp, dc Talk QQQ Given the wealth of Audio Adrenaline compilations in the marketplace, this release may seem a bit superfluous, but it nonetheless lives up to its title. Compiling its greatest hits between those two career-defining songs, the project best serves younger fans curious to hear the band before the Kevin Max era, which is basically a blend of gritty rock n’ roll with the occasional power ballad and an uncompromised message at every turn.
