Everyone loves a good awards show. The gowns, the glitz, the anticipation and, of course, the golden trophies… but the Doves aren’t your typical awards show. Consider an amped-up church service where everyone looks really nice, the music is over-the-top amazing and a lot of credit is given to God for amazing years, career highs and unexpected blessings. This year was even more of an adrenaline rush given the brand new location. For the first time, the Doves took the stage at the historic Fox Theater in Atlanta. And, of course, CCM was behind the scenes all night long catching the winners as they floated off-stage with their prizes. Not to our surprise, it’s safe to say that they were all surprised and nothing if not humble and grateful.
