Anchored by the already familiar “Our God” and “Awakening” on either side, lead single “I Will Follow You” pounds with a heavier beat, signifying the heavier, even darker instrumentation to come. “No Chains for Me” pulses with a dance rock beat, while “Majesty of Heaven” moves with a gospel orchestration. Yawheh is a beautiful, soft and authentic effort that will find a home for personal devotions or background music. The acoustic arrangements, while nothing spectacular, are seamless and appropriate, aiming the focus squarely onto the soaring vocals and lyrics. Final track, a cover of Lincoln Brewster’s “Salvation is Here,” neatly ties up a classy project. –Grace S.
