REcoRDIng REUnIon: I spent the first half of my life in
Oklahoma. This was recorded at an AME (African Methodist
Episcopal) church convocation with all the people that
encouraged me during my earliest years of development. My
father is an AME pastor, so it was sentimental and a ‘coming
home’ celebration with my church family. —Smokie Norful
oLD schooL: Many ‘new school’ Christians don’t know the songs
that carried our grandparents, so I thought it would be valuable
to begin introducing the younger generation to the traditional
praise and worship songs I grew up on, and reminding everyone
else of what brought us through. —S.N.
gUEsT Who?: This CD has a power packed line-up of musical ministry! The guest features [include] Myron Butler, Sheri
Jones-Moffett and Vanessa Bell Armstrong. They were all powerful and anointed. One of the most special moments was
when my father and I did a duet. —S.N.
PERsonAL PARALLEL: My CDs usually correlate to what I’m dealing with in life at the moment, or the season of life I’m
in. —S.N.
LIvE voLTAgE: There’s no energy like being in a room full of people who are in one accord with your passion for the
music. When performing live, you get to instantly see the payoff of your prayer, hard work and creativity. —S.N.
