A lot can happen in four months. For the
people of Haiti, a lot has happened. And
for the people of Haiti, a lot more needs to
happen.
Last month, CCM brought to you an overview of the
Christian music community jumping in. This month, we are
thrilled and proud to share with you that these artists get
it. They know that simply because the number of news
stories and headlines from the devastated country is
dwindling, the need is as great as ever. They know it. And
they’re doing something about it.
We wanted to let you know how committed this
community is to continually become the hands and feet
of Christ. We want you to know that they are putting into
action the words they sing so often. We want you to know
so you can be inspired and take action. And we want you
to know so you can pray—for the workers, the hands and
feet and for a country that will never be the same.

Re-building the church
Jeremy Camp is partnering with Compassion International
and Family Christian Stores to send the funds from a
pre-sale of his new project, due late summer, to Haiti.
Given the number of local churches that were destroyed
in the quake, Jeremy recognizes the desperate need to
rebuild. And not just temporarily… his efforts will enable
the church to once again provide the care and support the
country will need for years to come.

Healing 4 Haiti
After bringing together over 100 of Christian music’s
finest, Michael W. Smith is still contributing to the effort
to bring healing to this ravaged land. Healing 4 Haiti is a
collection that includes not only Smith’s powerful “Come
Together Now,” but also songs from the likes of Israel
Houghton, Kari Jobe, The Afters and Hawk Nelson, just
to name a few. Proceeds from this album will go directly
to the aid work on the ground through the Billy Graham
Evangelistic Association, Samaritan’s Purse and the Red
Cross. Michael and several of the artists on the project
have already been to Haiti to put their efforts into
motion.
