Almost any anniversary is one worth celebrating if you’re in a rock and roll band. While most bands fold after the release of their first album or two, sometimes an act can find the ideal combo of talent and dedication to stay at it for the long haul. Hardcore favorite Project 86 is one such band, whose crunching guitars and powerful lyrics have powered the ship for two decades now.

This year, Andrew Schwab and company are celebrating 20 years with all kinds of special plans, but we thought we’d put together our own party recognizing their five finest musical moments, which are sure to be staples in your next workout playlist.

1. “Pipedream”
From their hard to find self-titled album, “Pipedream” became the song that helped Project 86 stand out among the likes of P.O.D. and Blindside. Front man Andrew Schwab called this song the “blueprint” to their first album, and it would be the musical touchstone for albums to come.

2. “Spy Hunter”
There’s something about “Spy Hunter” that brings about a sudden need to dance as violently as possible. This song is built on the theme of finding truth in a truthless age, a theme that spans all eight Project 86 albums.

3. Evil (A Chorus of Resistance)
From the 2007 album Rival Factions (buy), “Evil (A Chorus of Resistance)” marked a slight change in sound for Project 86. Despite the new sound, fans and critics fell in love with the album, making it the highest selling album from Project 86.

4. “Fall, Goliath, Fall”
There’s no way you can escape the reality of “Fall, Goliath, Fall” getting stuck in your head. This is most catchy song from the must-buy Wait For The Siren (buy) album.

5. “One Armed Man”
From the powerhouse album Drawing Black Lines (buy), “One Armed Man” will no doubt be an anchor song on your “I’m On The Treadmill And I’ll Power Through It” playlist.
