The members of Savior Soul met in the summer of 2010, and it was evident from their first time playing together that they had something special. After five months they were in the recording studio and playing at secular clubs in the Philadelphia area. They have a unique rock sound that is infused with soul. Drawing from their musical influences, Savior Soul focuses on making music that captures the listener’s ear, so that God can capture their heart. You can hear hints of everything from Stevie Wonder to The Foo Fighters in their music, with lyrics that are inspiring, hopeful, and true to God’s word.
Singer, Ralph Ashe had previously been working with Grammy award winning producer R. Kelly and was signed to a major record deal. His dreams were suddenly shattered when R. Kelly’s legal issues surfaced. Ralph was devastated, and was not certain that he would ever sing again. Ralph responded to an ad that was placed by drummer Mark Beecher. Guitarist Matt Eltringham had been staying in touch with Mark for about a year, and brought in bassist Jim Carlson.  Their meeting and purpose all seemed to be orchestrated from above.  They recently played at Sweetwater Sound in Fort Wayne Indiana, and made it to the finals in the “Battle for Christ”. Keep your eyes and ears out for this band!  Their music is available for download on iTunes.
