Ghost Ship: ‘Costly’ album review

Intended to honor the price Jesus paid on the cross, Costly, Ghost Ship’s second full-length album, is also Cam Huxford’s heart-mirror since the release of The Good King in 2013. Written and recorded during a tumultuous time in the life of Mars Hill Church that ultimately saw its dissolution in 2014, Costly rises to offer easy access points for those needing a message of Christ’s hope through song. There’s a simplistic beauty at work here, leaving much room for spiritual communication.
