Emerald: Musical Gems  (Manhattan Records)
by Celtic Woman

FOR FANS OF: Enya, Clannad, IONA
Rating: 4 Stars

Standards, hymns, show tunes and inspirational classics abound on the latest Celtic Woman release, which once again finds the Irish troupe soaring with ethereal vocal harmonies and classically inspired arrangements. “Amazing Grace” and “You Raise Me Up” are among the spiritually-minded highlights, though the ladies send shivers with an impassioned performance of Simon & Garfunkel’s bedrock, “Bridge Over Troubled Water.”
