Annie Moses Band: ‘American Rhapsody’ album review

Nashville’s classically trained ensemble of six siblings already has Carnegie Hall, the Grand Ole Opry and PBS on its resume, but after 11 albums and five DVDs, the Annie Moses Band is poised for additional ascent on the continuously eclectic American Rhapsody. Not only do the prodigious players astound with everything from the Gershwin twist “Rhapsody In Bluegrass” to the glorious string battle “Psalm Of Life,” but there’s always a spiritually hopeful angle to lyrics that bridge cultural and musical boundaries.
