Once again, our nation is brought to its needs by the enormity of great loss and suffering. The shooting in the DC Naval Yard was a tragic, senseless loss, heightened in the wake of too many similar tragedies. Add to that the loss of life, homes and so much more at the hands of nature and one thing becomes abundantly clear – we are a nation in need of prayer and hope. Some of your favorite Christian artists offer their words of encouragement below. We will soon be posting ways you can get involved and help ease the suffering. From all of us at CCM and TodaysChristianMusic.com, we offer our prayers of hope and healing to all those touched by these heartbreaking events.

“My heart breaks for those that are suffering so greatly. And as a mom, I’m struggling for the right words to explain the horrifying realities of the world we live in to my little ones. It’s in times like these, however, that living out our faith is imperative. May we show a hurting world that a relationship with Jesus brings unexplainable peace through the darkest storm, and through our words AND actions as the church, may we open our arms with love and generosity, to be the hands and feet of Jesus.”
Natalie Grant

“My thoughts and prayers are with all affected by the shootings today in D.C. and the floods in Colorado.”
